Matt Mohler is a second generation native Floridian. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale and reared in Vero Beach, where he graduated from St. Edwards School. After high school, Matt moved to Gainesville, where he earned an Associates degree. He finished his education at Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Writing and a Minor in Communications.
Matt worked as a district manager for an independent finance company after college. He lived and worked in Tallahassee, Las Vegas, and Biloxi. In 2002, Matt moved back to Florida where he worked as a 220-licensed property and casualty insurance agent for Nationwide, Allstate, and Felten and Associates, a private insurance brokerage company in Vero Beach.
While back in his hometown of Vero Beach, Matt founded the Young Republicans of Indian River County, was an active leader in the Republican Party of Indian River County, and served on several local boards before running for City Council in 2006. Matt served as Co-Chair for the Indian River County Beaches Relay for Life and was a Committee Member of the Vero Beach Book Festival.
Matt Mohler has worked on several local and state political campaigns. He was Indian River County Co-Chair for Tom Gallagher's 2006 Gubernatorial bid. He joined the Front Line Strategies team in early 2007.
